LOS ANGELES – Trevor Bauer tossed 7 shutout innings and struck out 10, Max Muncy had 3 strikes and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Miami Marlins 7-0 Saturday evening to prolong their winning touch to 4.

The ruling NL Cy Young Honor champion improved to 4-2 as he enabled just 2 strikes and 3 baserunners. The right-hander retired the last 11 Marlins hitters he faced as just one baserunner reached second base.

It’s the 3rd time in 9 starts this period that Bauer has gone at least 7 innings. He tossed 113 pitches, consisting of 71 for strikes, noting the 4th time in the last 5 starts he has tossed at least 103 pitches.

The infielder got on a rehabilitation job with Triple-A Jacksonville. … RHP Cody Poteet was optioned to Jacksonville after LHP Braxton Garrett was contacted.

Dodgers: AJ Pollock was placed on the injured list before the video game after the outfielder stretched a hamstring Friday. Supervisor Dave Roberts said Pollock will be out at least 2-3 weeks. RHP Edwin Uceta was contacted from Triple-A Oklahoma City to take Pollock’s lineup spot. … IF Edwin Rios will undergo season-ending surgical treatment next week to repair a partly torn labrum in his right shoulder.
